Located within StarWorld Hotel in Macau, Horizon Heen is conceived as an exclusive retreat for a discerning clientele seeking a level of privacy and refinement beyond the main gaming floor.
Designed by QUAD Studio, the project transforms a dedicated 903m2 floor into a layered, atmospheric sanctuary where dining, gaming and bespoke grooming unfold in a controlled, intimate environment.
A hidden world within the hotel
Horizon Heen is introduced as a private VIP club offering world‑class dining, sophisticated gaming and tailored relaxation experiences, all centred on absolute discretion. From the moment guests arrive, the design establishes a clear transition from the casino energy to a quieter, more contemplative realm. The concept is framed as an “Enchanted Grove”, a secluded garden drawn from folklore, imagined as a secret space discovered deep within the hotel.
This sense of discovery is key to the project’s identity. The arrival sequence is described as a shift into a tranquil sanctuary, offering a moment of calm before entering the club’s more intimate zones.
A spatial journey inspired by nature
QUAD Studio’s design language draws from organic forms and the delicate textures of a spring garden. Public dining areas gradually give way to private lounges, creating a spatial rhythm that feels both fluid and intentional. Soft, atmospheric lighting shapes a warm, cocooning environment, while lush greenery reinforces the impression of a garden retreat.
A defining feature is the blurred boundary between interior and exterior. The terrace extends the “enchanted” narrative outdoors, offering al fresco seating in a controlled climate and surrounded by curated art and vegetation.
Tailored luxury and bespoke services
Horizon Heen’s programme is built around personalised, high‑touch experiences. Guests can enjoy champagne and seafood at the Oyster Bar, host private gatherings in the VIP dining room, or retreat into grooming spaces operated by Truefitt & Hill, the historic London barber and perfumer.
For maximum privacy, individual VIP salon rooms are equipped with fully adjustable Takara Belmont barber chairs and integrated backwash facilities, allowing guests to receive full treatments without leaving their seats.
A contemporary interpretation of exclusivity
