In Port Louis, Mauritius, The Grove Villa stands as a testament to IQOSA’s design that transcends aesthetics and becomes an experience. Conceived in 2025 as part of the IQ‑116‑MV project, the 635m2 villa is a harmonious blend of architecture and interior design, reflecting the natural beauty of its tropical setting.
The interiors convey a quiet sophistication, shaped by light, texture, and material choices. Double‑height windows draw daylight deep into the rooms, enhancing soft tones, marble surfaces, and carefully layered finishes. The challenge was to create a space that does not compete with its surroundings yet does not fade into them either. The solution was to treat light as the guiding element, allowing it to shape the atmosphere and highlight the interplay of stone, wood, and fabric.

The dining areas calm yet distinctive. Generous glazing opens the rooms to views of surrounding vegetation, offering a serene backdrop that softens the interiors. At the centre of one space is a table crafted from red marble, its rich tones and distinctive veining standing out against the neutral palette. Other dining zones continue the theme of restraint, with marble tables, sculptural pendant lighting, and upholstered seating that balance comfort with elegance.

The kitchens are sculptural in their own right. Stone islands with textured edges anchor the spaces, their rough edges evoking natural formations. Above them, spherical pendant lights with marbled finishes float like luminous art pieces, while integrated cabinetry and appliances blend functionality with artistry. Warm shelving with discreet lighting introduces depth.

Living areas are open and welcoming. Neutral sofas gather around marble coffee tables, while metallic wall installations add a contemporary accent. Indoor trees bring a natural element inside without overwhelming the composition. Wooden ceilings with linear lighting and stone walls with veining reinforce the connection between interior and landscape, while floor‑to‑ceiling windows extend the view outward.

The result is an interior where light shapes the mood, neutral tones provide continuity, and furniture that offers a measured statement. The Grove Villa belongs to its setting, designed with the belief that meaningful spaces emerge from context, people, and purpose.
