Located on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Residences is progressing towards completion as a large-scale mixed-use hospitality and residential development in the Cayman Islands.
The project combines hotel accommodation with private residences and condo-hotel suites across a beachfront site overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Recent construction updates from project partners indicate the development has reached its full structural height and entered advanced installation and commissioning stages ahead of a targeted 2026 completion.

Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman combines residences and resort facilities
The development is planned as a five-star resort and residential destination on a 7.1-acre site along Seven Mile Beach. The project will include 190 hotel guestrooms, 88 condo-hotel guestrooms and 76 condo-hotel suites. All the 164 residences will be designed with ocean views and private terraces.

The residences integrate indoor and outdoor living through private terraces overlooking the waterfront. Shared resort amenities include multiple dining venues, pools, concierge services, spa facilities, a fitness centre, a kids’ club and beach services.

Owners have an option to place their residences into a voluntary Hyatt rental programme.
Architecture and interiors draw on Cayman coastal context
Trio Architecture’s design approach focused on creating open yet intimate spaces that frame ocean views while introducing natural light throughout the resort. The architecture balances contemporary forms with references to Cayman’s coastal textures and landscape.

The interiors, designed by Clodagh Design, use limestone, warm woods, layered neutral palettes and filtered lighting to create a connection between the built environment and the surrounding seafront setting.

Façades and balconies were designed in response to the harbourfront context, with terraces and outdoor spaces intended to maintain privacy while strengthening visual links to the coastline.
Resort amenities include spa, pools and dining venues
The development is planned with six food and beverage venues, three swimming pools and extensive wellness facilities.

It features a destination spa featuring treatment rooms, an outdoor vitality pool, thermal facilities, a hammam, chromotherapy experiences, and sound therapy areas.
Other features include elevated signature pool terrace, swim-up bar, and beachfront cabanas along approximately 900ft of beachfront frontage.
Additional resident and guest amenities include concierge services, valet parking, housekeeping, transportation arrangements, room service, and private event services.
Conference and event facilities
The development also features large-scale meeting and conference infrastructure aimed at both hospitality and corporate events.
More than 47,000ft2 of flexible indoor and outdoor event areas, including one of the largest ballrooms in the Cayman Islands, will be part of the project. The oceanfront event venue is designed to host up to 800 guests for dining events or up to 1,500 attendees for presentations.
Construction progresses towards targeted handover in 2026

The project has entered its final stages of delivery as of Q2 2026 and is expected to be completed in Q3.
