XCMG reports over $1bn in orders at customer festival across key equipment segments

XCMG, a China-based construction machinery manufacturer producing heavy equipment for infrastructure, mining, and industrial construction, has secured more than $1bn in orders at its 8th International Customer Festival held in Xuzhou in May. The event brought together more than 2,500 customers and business partners from international markets.

The order total marks a record for the annual gathering, according to the company, and comes as demand for construction equipment continues to track activity across infrastructure development, mining operations, and broader industrial investment cycles.

Orders cut across lifting, earthmoving, mining, and road equipment

The orders signed during the festival covered XCMG’s main product categories, including lifting machinery, earthmoving equipment, mining machinery, road machinery, and aerial work platforms.

International customer participation contributed to deal activity across multiple regions, with equipment expected to be deployed across a range of project environments, from early-stage site preparation to transport and resource-related works.

Green equipment gains a larger share in the order mix

XCMG’s Qingshan Green product line, which covers its low-carbon and energy-efficient machinery, accounted for a larger share of orders than in previous editions of the festival.

The company linked this shift to growing demand for electrified and lower-emission equipment across construction and industrial applications, as well as continued interest in machinery upgrades in its broader product portfolio.

It also noted ongoing progress in its intelligent transformation strategy across product categories, without providing additional technical detail.

Scenario-based applications presented to customers

During the event, XCMG showcased integrated application scenarios covering smart earthmoving, green energy use cases, emergency rescue operations, and smart agriculture.

The demonstrations focused on equipment performance across different operating conditions and throughout the lifecycle, with an emphasis on coordinated deployment rather than standalone machines.

Customers from multiple international markets, including Africa and Saudi Arabia, attended the festival.
