Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini has made its African debut through a branded residential development at Zimbali Lakes on South Africa’s North Coast.
The entry comes via Tonino Lamborghini Suites and Residences Zimbali Lakes, part of the wider Zimbali Lakes masterplanned development in KwaZulu-Natal. The project combines hotel suites, apartments, and residences under a flexible ownership model linked to hospitality services.
The announcement follows the signing of an agreement during a visit to South Africa by Tonino Lamborghini and his executive team, who spent time at Zimbali Lakes and the surrounding region before confirming the partnership.
The project is located within a 400-hectare masterplanned estate on South Africa’s North Coast, and brings together residential, golf, retail, and leisure components.
According to John van Wyk of Craft of Architecture, the project’s architects, the design approach responds to the coastal setting while reflecting the brand’s design language.
Zimbali Lakes is being developed by IFA Hotels & Resorts. The estate includes 20 hectares of lakes for leisure activities such as kayaking and catch-and-release fishing, an 18-hole Ernie Els Signature Golf Course, and a dedicated sports club.
It also features Zimbali Square, a 20,000m2 retail and dining precinct, along with nature trails, pet-friendly spaces, and 24-hour secured estate infrastructure.
