Shoreditch Design Week 2026: Venues, exhibitions, and key dates

Shoreditch Design Week 2026: Venues, exhibitions, and key dates

Shoreditch will host a new six-day design event this September, with exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops, tours, and product launches taking place across the east London district.

Shoreditch Design Week will run from 15 to 20 September 2026 as the official programme for Shoreditch, one of 11 design districts taking part in the 24th London Design Festival. It succeeds the Shoreditch Design Triangle, which ran for 18 years. The new format involves more than 60 showrooms, galleries, and creative spaces, with hundreds of events expected during the week.

Media 10, an international events company, organises Shoreditch Design Week.

The organiser currently lists six exhibitions and more than 60 showrooms under one free visitor badge. The main exhibition programme will run from 15 to 17 September. Showroom events, installations, and other activities across the district will continue until 20 September.

Four exhibition venues across Shoreditch

Shoreditch Design Week

From 15 to 17 September, the event’s main exhibitions will take place at Unlocked Shoreditch, Shoreditch Town Hall, Protein Studios, and Kachette. These venues will host Material Matters, House of ICON, Design at Work, Neuroplaces, and New Designers Selects.

Material Matters will move to Unlocked Shoreditch at 118 Curtain Road. First staged at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf in 2022, the fair grew from the Material Matters with Grant Gibson podcast. It considers the role of materials in architecture, interiors, and product design.

The fair will be open from 10 am to 6 pm between 15 and 17 September, with last entry at 5:30 pm. Admission is free. Shoreditch High Street, Old Street, and Liverpool Street are the nearest stations.

House of ICON will return to the Grade II-listed Shoreditch Town Hall at 380 Old Street. Its exhibitors will present furniture, lighting, and other interior products for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.

Isola Design will also take part, with designers, studios, manufacturers, and other members of its international network exhibiting within House of ICON.

The exhibition will open from 10 am to 6 pm on 15 September, from 10 am to 9 pm on 16 September, and from 10 am to 5 pm on 17 September. Visitor registration is available through the House of ICON event page.

Design at Work will take place at Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard. Organised by OnOffice, Media 10’s workplace design publication, it covers task and breakout furniture, storage, acoustic materials, and other products for workplace interiors.

It will follow the same daily schedule as House of ICON: 10 am to 6 pm on 15 September, 10 am to 9 pm on 16 September, and 10 am to 5 pm on 17 September.

Protein Studios will also host Neuroplaces, an exhibition and conference concerned with neuroinclusive and accessible design. Among its installations will be the Neuroplaces Reset Lounge by Sonda Studios. Visitors will be able to move between four spaces that use light, colour, texture, sound, enclosure, and spatial character to examine how people respond differently to their surroundings.

New Designers Selects comes to Kachette

New Designers Selects will occupy Kachette at 347 Old Street. It will feature products from design businesses that have been operating for between one and five years.

This will be the first time the initiative is presented separately from the main New Designers event held in July. The exhibition is free and will be open from 10 am to 6 pm on 15 September, from 10 am to 9 pm on 16 September, and from 10 am to 5 pm on 17 September.

A short distance away, Design Burger will launch The Product Design 100 at Kachette Annex, 1 Kingsland Road. Design Burger, an independent media platform covering contemporary product and industrial design, has assembled 100 realised projects across consumer electronics, furniture, lighting, homeware, and transport for its first book, a 324-page hardback.

A selected group of projects will accompany the publication in an exhibition. Unlike the main three-day exhibitions, The Product Design 100 will run throughout Shoreditch Design Week.

It will open from 10 am to 9 pm on 15 September, from 10 am to 6 pm between 16 and 19 September, and from 10 am to 1 pm on 20 September.

Installations extend beyond the main venues

Showrooms, studios, hotels, galleries, coworking spaces, and temporary venues will host events throughout Shoreditch. The district programme includes furniture and lighting presentations, open studios, workshops, talks, and tours.

Among the confirmed exhibitions is Wood for the Trees, presented by the American Hardwood Export Council in collaboration with Mitre & Mondays and Benchmark. It will run from 15 to 20 September at the Tab Centre, 3 Godfrey Place, tracing American hardwood from forest to finished product and examining responsible forestry and material selection. Admission is free.

At his showroom at 95 Rivington Street, designer Lee Broom will present The Chant Chambers. The installation will introduce additions to his Chant lighting collection, including chandeliers, wall lights, linear pendants, and larger architectural arrangements. It will be open throughout Shoreditch Design Week, with hours varying by day. Admission is free.

The programme also includes The Trust Stack, a free evening discussion at Barclays Eagle Labs, 41 Luke Street, on 15 September. Hosted by Tech,No?, it will consider trust, accountability, data use, and human judgement as artificial intelligence enters workplaces and public services. The session will run from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Shoreditch Design Week tickets, travel, and parking

Tickets to Shoreditch Design Week are free, but visitors need to register for a visitor badge to enter the exhibitions. One badge covers the six exhibitions and the participating showrooms. Opening hours at showrooms and partner venues vary, so individual listings should be checked before travelling.

Liverpool Street, Old Street, Shoreditch High Street, and Hoxton stations provide access to different parts of the district. The event will take place across several streets rather than at a single site, making it advisable to plan a route around the exhibitions and installations selected for the day.

The official Shoreditch Design Week app carries the digital visitor badge. Its planned features include an interactive map, programme listings, personalised agendas, brand information, suggested routes, and curated trails. Visitors must register for the event before signing into the app.

Parking differs by venue. Shoreditch Town Hall does not have an on-site car park. Its nearest public car park is the NCP facility at Finsbury Square. A nearby loading bay permits Blue Badge holders to park for up to three hours, while cars and taxis can drop passengers directly outside the building.

Old Street is the nearest Underground station to Shoreditch Town Hall. Shoreditch High Street, approximately 0.4 miles away, is the closest station offering step-free access. Bus routes 55, 243, and N55 stop outside the building.

Visitors with accessibility requirements should check the arrangements for each location separately, as the event uses venues of different ages and layouts.

The wider London Design Festival will begin on 12 September and end on the same day as Shoreditch Design Week. Bloomberg Connects will serve as its official digital guide for 2026, carrying curated routes, expert commentary, and video highlights from the city-wide programme.
