As Brisbane prepares for the 2032 Olympic Games and continues to attract investment in luxury real estate, Capella Hotel Group has announced plans for its first branded residences in Australia at the historic Shafston House estate, in partnership with property developer Verso Projects.

Scheduled for completion in 2029, Capella Residences Brisbane will mark the company’s first branded residences in Australia and Brisbane’s first branded residential development. It will also be the second Capella Residences globally, following Seoul.

Established in 1851, Shafston Estate occupies a prominent riverfront position along the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point, forming one of the city’s longstanding heritage holdings. The project will combine the restoration of the historic estate with new contemporary residences, alongside hotel-style services and a range of communal amenities.

The masterplan includes landscaped gardens, six swimming pools (three of which are for all residents), Capella’s signature Living Room, two River Homes along the embankment, a private marina, a porte cochère with drop-off and pick-up facilities, and private basement garage parking.
