US-based commercial real estate software provider Buildout has introduced a CRM that connects prospecting, property marketing, transaction management and commission visibility within Buildout Suite.
Buildout CRM fills what the company described as the remaining gap in its end-to-end brokerage platform. Buildout said information entered into the suite can move through the deal process without being repeatedly transferred between separate products.
The system is designed for brokers, marketing teams and finance staff, with access to deal information determined by their respective roles. Buildout also said its artificial intelligence can perform repeatable tasks within the workflow.
Buildout’s CRM plans date back to 2021
The launch comes five years after Buildout began acquiring specialist CRM businesses serving commercial property brokers.
Buildout bought Rethink in February 2021 and said it planned to connect the company’s CRM with its own property marketing and deal-management software. Rethink offered tools for prospecting, pipeline management and reporting.
Apto, another CRM and deal-management software provider for CRE brokers, was acquired in January 2022. Buildout said at the time that a single property entry in its platform could already be used to create brochures, publish websites, syndicate listings, model financials and capture investor and tenant leads.
In May that year, Buildout disclosed plans to combine Apto and Rethink into a new CRM. Both products had been renamed under the Buildout brand, but the company said they were not being replaced at that point.
Buildout has not said whether the CRM launched in March 2026 is the combined product envisaged in 2022. Its arrival nevertheless places a new CRM inside the broader suite that the earlier acquisitions were intended to support.
Property and ownership data connect with brokerage records
Buildout added a further part of the brokerage process in January 2022 by acquiring ProspectNow, a property and ownership intelligence provider.
ProspectNow reported at the time that its database covered 155 million properties and 18 million businesses, including 42 million commercial and multifamily properties. Its predictive analytics were used to identify properties considered likely to sell or refinance within the following 12 months.
A closer link between this property research and Buildout’s CRM arrived in August 2025 with Rethink+. The product placed Buildout’s property and ownership data inside Rethink CRM, allowing brokers to research owners and add prospects without moving the information manually from a separate research tool.
Buildout CRM now connects that prospecting stage with the later parts of a deal. The company said the suite uses a common data layer so that property, contact and transaction information can be used by different teams as work progresses.
Email and listing tools added before CRM launch
Two releases in early 2026 added further links to the workflow.
Buildout introduced native email marketing for Showcase and Showcase+ customers in January. The optional add-on brought contact management, branded email creation and delivery into the company’s property marketing software.
A Buildout survey conducted in December 2025 found that 33% of more than 380 active customers cited a lack of time to create emails. Another 27% said they lacked visibility into email engagement.
The company added Apex Commercial Exchange to its listing syndication network in February. Brokers can opt to publish eligible listings on the marketplace from Buildout Showcase, while enquiries generated through Apex are sent back to Showcase for follow-up.
Buildout’s software was already being used within larger brokerage networks before the CRM release. Coldwell Banker Commercial expanded an existing integration in May 2025, allowing listings entered in Buildout to feed automatically into its internal Dash system. In March 2025, Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates expanded Buildout’s transaction-management platform across its US affiliate network.
