Arada enters Abu Dhabi with AED 15 billion Aldar partnership

UAE-based property developer Arada will enter the Abu Dhabi development market through a partnership with Aldar, an Abu Dhabi-based property developer, covering development opportunities with a combined value of approximately AED 15bn ($4.08bn).

The agreements include a jointly developed villa and townhouse community at Seih Sdeirah on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border. Arada has also acquired three residential development plots from Aldar on Yas Island, including two canal-facing sites.

The move follows Arada’s expansion from Sharjah into Dubai in November 2022, when it launched the 294-home Jouri Hills development at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The new agreements mark its first development presence in Abu Dhabi. Arada

Villa and townhouse community at Seih Sdeirah

The Seih Sdeirah masterplan joint venture will cover up to 1.5 million sq m of land. The mixed-use community is envisaged to include villas and townhouses alongside retail, recreational and community amenities.

Arada will lead development and construction management. Both companies will jointly brand and sell the community.

Seih Sdeirah is also home to Aldar’s existing Alghadeer community, close to the border between the two emirates. Aldar

Three Yas Island plots for new homes

Arada’s three Yas Island plots have a combined plot area of more than 27,500m2 and total gross floor area of almost 130,000m2.

Arada plans new residential projects across the sites, two of which face a canal.

The Seih Sdeirah joint venture and Yas Island acquisitions form the first phase of the partnership. Aldar and Arada intend to explore further collaboration across sectors, asset classes and locations in the UAE.
