VTS, a commercial real estate technology company, has won the 2026 BIP Global Innovation & PropTech Award in the AI & Data Innovation category and Workflow Intelligence subcategory. The award recognises VTS AI, an artificial intelligence offering built into the VTS Platform.

The BIP Global Innovation & PropTech Awards honour forward-thinking technologies, platforms and digital solutions shaping the future of the built environment. Part of the Best International Project platform, the awards recognise innovation across the building lifecycle, from design and construction to transactions, operations and user experience.

The jury selected VTS AI for improving the completeness and continuity of property information, grounding market analysis in specialist data, keeping financial and contractual information open to verification and reducing manual work across leasing, market analysis, property operations and lease administration.

VTS AI works across the company’s leasing, market data, property operations and asset management products. It processes proposals, leases, occupier communications and market records in the systems used by commercial property teams.

The offering comprises four tools used across commercial property leasing, market analysis, property operations and lease administration. Proposal AI processes leasing proposals, Work Order AI structures occupier service requests, VTS Analyst answers office-market questions and Asset Intelligence supports lease abstraction and portfolio searches. VTS launched the first three tools in September 2025, with Asset Intelligence following in April 2026.

More complete property records reduce repeated work

VTS AI’s abstraction tools extract information from proposal and lease documents and populate structured property records. Compared with manual entry, AI-assisted abstraction captures 660% more data, giving property teams more complete records while reducing the work required to create them.

Proposal AI extracts terms from proposals and letters of intent to populate proposal forms for review before cash-flow modelling and budget comparisons. The tool has reduced proposal-entry time by 93% and saves more than 25,000 hours of manual work a year. An average VTS user saves over 80 hours annually.

Work Order AI processes occupier requests received by email, text, or voice and converts them into standardised work orders. The tool has reduced the time spent submitting work orders by 80%, saving more than 30 hours per building annually.

Asset Intelligence carries information captured during the proposal stage into lease administration, reducing the need for teams to recreate records as work moves into lease management.

The results showed the jury that VTS AI reduces repeated work across proposal processing, property operations and lease administration while preserving information between stages.

Specialist deal data strengthens market analysis

VTS Analyst draws on VTS Data, the company’s commercial property dataset, including deal data covering more than 57 billion square feet. Users can ask office-market questions and receive comparisons covering tenant demand, industry activity, space-size trends and submarket performance.

The conversational interface makes the data easier to query, but the relevance of its answers comes from the underlying commercial property dataset. VTS Analyst can reclaim 30% of the time spent on manual data searches. The jury regarded this time saving as evidence that VTS AI allows teams to search and use specialist market data more efficiently, extending its role beyond record creation.

Verification supports financial and contractual use

Because lease information can affect revenue, payments, renewals, compliance and financial reporting, speed alone was not sufficient. The jury also examined whether users could verify the information returned by VTS AI.

Asset Intelligence combines automated lease abstraction with verification by lease-administration specialists. Asset Chat allows users to ask cross-portfolio questions and receive answers with citations to the supporting lease documents. Users can then check the source before relying on an extracted term or answer.

Entity mapping standardises tenant information across portfolios, while data reconciliation extends into enterprise resource planning systems to align information across platforms.

Asset Intelligence has eliminated 95% of manual lease searches. It is built on more than 600,000 lease documents and a VTS data foundation covering over 13 billion square feet of real estate.

Specialist review, source citations, entity mapping and reconciliation allow users to check information before using it for financial or contractual work. The jury regarded these controls as significant because the 95% reduction in manual lease searches did not come at the expense of professional verification or access to supporting records.
