Golden pergolas will frame the two main entrances to The Grand Central Mall in Faisalabad, where a double-height arcade will provide visitors with protection from the sun.
Chapman Taylor is designing a new version of the mixed-use project for developer TGC Builders. The scheme comprises a seven-storey shopping mall, a residential tower, a luxury hotel and a rooftop clubhouse with a landscaped terrace.
The development occupies an approximately 40,000m² site in one of Faisalabad’s fastest-growing districts. It is accessible from the city centre via the Canal Expressway.
Golden pergolas mark the main approaches
The golden pergolas frame the two entrance gates and give the approaches their principal architectural feature.
Immediately behind them, the double-height arcade forms a sheltered approach to the mall. The arcade provides shade before visitors enter the retail floors.
The residential tower, luxury hotel, mall and rooftop clubhouse are brought together into the same architectural composition.
Construction progresses across five blocks
Blocks 1 and 2 had reached structural completion and were moving into the finishing phase as of January 2026. Structural work on Block 3 was nearing completion, with its atrium built to the sixth floor.
The slab for Block 4 had been completed. At Block 5, the underground water tank and cargo-lift foundations had been constructed. Raw flooring across the second basement level was also complete.
Retail extends across seven storeys
The seven-storey mall accounts for approximately 160,000m² of retail gross built area. Its shops are accompanied by dining and leisure uses.
A food court at the top of the mall will contain restaurants, cafés and shared seating areas. The wider development also includes a rooftop clubhouse and landscaped terrace.
A hypermarket is planned at basement level, with direct access to two underground parking floors. Together, the parking levels will provide more than 750 spaces.
