Honeywell has expanded its cloud-connected fire safety platform to include smoke control and emergency response capabilities.
The update builds on its NOTIFIER INSPIRE platform and Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS), extending fire and building safety functions across connected environments. The platform integrates detection, ventilation control, and incident response within a single system.
The company said the new capabilities support installation, commissioning, compliance, and system monitoring through connected services.
Smoke control integration and CO response
The update adds integrated smoke control to the NOTIFIER INSPIRE platform. The system consolidates life safety functions into a single architecture and reduces fragmented configurations.
The approach streamlines system design, reduces additional hardware and custom programming, and supports configuration changes as building requirements evolve. It also reduces complexity in retrofits and upgrades.
The system includes a purge function that responds to carbon monoxide (CO) detection events. When CO is detected, the system activates ventilation to exhaust affected air from the zone and introduce fresh air to reduce concentration levels. The function operates alongside fire-mode settings that manage airflow to contain smoke and control oxygen levels.
Cloud platform expansion and emergency response features
Honeywell has added new functions to its CLSS platform to improve visibility and coordination across fire safety systems.
Zone Sync aligns system data, including floor plans, device mapping, and alarm zones, to maintain consistency between system records and building layouts. The function reduces discrepancies that emerge as buildings change over time.
CLSS Rescue Assist supports occupants requiring assistance during emergencies and provides real-time situational visibility to building operators and responders.
The company also introduced Phoenix G2 ATX Cellular Alerting, developed by US Digital Designs, which adds redundant cellular communication to its first responder alerting system. The capability maintains dispatch notifications during network disruption and supports continuity in emergency communications.
The updates extend cloud-linked fire safety systems across detection, coordination, and response.
